Extractions

We do most extractions in our office, including wisdom teeth. Patients often ask if an extraction will hurt. In all cases, you will be thoroughly numbed, so that you will only feel pressure during the extraction, but not pain. After the tooth is removed, you may need stitches. These stitches will be removed by Dr. Anderson a few days later, and the area inspected to make sure that it is healing well.

Dr. Anderson frequently attends continuing education courses on pain management, injection technique, and extraction techniques. With today's technology, it is possible to have teeth removed more comfortably and quickly than before. However, if you have any concerns regarding extractions, please discuss them with any of our staff.
